Catch Up Part 2: A Peaceful Diwali in Goa

Diwali is a VERY noisy time of year - fireworks, firecrackers, and parties at all times of day and night.  We had been warned of this, and so we decided to escape the hustle and bustle of the big smoke (literally with all the fireworks) to the laid-back paradise that is Goa.  We stayed in Agonda in the quieter southern part of Goa and it was a perfect long weekend getaway.  That being said, it was not without a few mishaps... jellyfish stings, ear infections, middle of the night hospital trips, run-ins with the police (no helmets on while riding a Royal Enfield) resolved with a bribe, and vomiting in the rollercoaster taxi ride back to the airport!  Never a dull moment.

All 3 boys were stung by jellyfish within the first hour at the beach!  Aaron got it worse.

Cows on the beach are a regular sight in Goa.

Peak hours at the beach!

A new friend for a few days!

After an adventurous ride on a Royal Enfield, Dad & I ended up at this pretty idyllic beach called Cola Beach.

We considered a swim, and then decided to have a beer in this little beach hut bar instead!

Last evening

We love Goa!!!

Who's the numpty in the background?

And again...

Me and him

Our last night ... gorgeous sunset over the sea behind the bar.

A rare shot of everyone looking at the camera at the same time AND with eyes open AND whilst smiling!! Winner.
