Party weekend and end of an era...
Moving on to India is starting to feel very real, and it has given me cause to reflect on the time we have spent here in Texas. I really can't believe that it's been 7 whole years since we moved to Houston. It has been such a special time in our lives, in part, I'm sure because it has been the formative years of our young family. But also because we have genuinely made some of the best friends you could possibly ever want. I don't know whether it's the shared expat experience (because many of these friends are also expats), the stages in our lives (bonding over parenting angst), or the fact that they are just bloody brilliant people, but I can honestly say the friendships we have forged in our time in America will transcend time and distance.
